Russian athlete Makarenko was kicked out of the training camp due to missing formation
Multiple Russian champion in the 100-meter race, Kristina Makarenko, said that she, along with hurdler Artem Makarenko and all-around athlete Arseny Elfimov, were kicked out of the training camp in Novogorsk. The athlete spoke about this in her Telegram channel.
The reason was that the athletes missed the formation that took place at 8 am. “To be clear, we do not live at the training camp in Novogorsk. We train, go for massages, get medications and go home in the evening,” Makarenko noted.
The athlete added that because of such situations, she has less and less desire to train and perform. “I’m generally silent about how much the training camps have depreciated and who sometimes attends them,” said the athlete.
On December 8, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced the admission of Russians and Belarusians to the Olympics in Paris. At the same time, the head of World Athletics, Sebastian Coe, said that Russian track and field athletes will miss the Olympic Games.
