Fighter Khamzat Chimaev gave the UFC an ultimatum on the title fight
Mixed style fighter (MMA) representing the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Khamzat Chimaev delivered an ultimatum to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He said this in an interview with the ESPN MMA YouTube channel.
Chimaev demanded either that he be given the promised title fight, or that he be paid double the fee for the next fight. “If they give me big money, then of course I don’t care about the damn belt. I’m ready for UFC 300, just let me know,” he said.
On October 21, Chimaev defeated American Kamaru Usman at UFC 294. The fight ended in three rounds with the victory of the fighter of Chechen origin by majority decision of the judges.
In total, Chimaev spent 13 fights in his professional career without suffering a single defeat. Previously, the athlete played for Sweden, and now represents the UAE and the Grozny Akhmat team.
