A study published by FIFA this Friday pointed out that most fans are in favor of world Cups more frequent male and female.
The survey had about 77 thousand respondents around the world. The federation questioned whether people would watch the World Cup being played every two years, for example, as long as the competition did not interfere with the players’ well-being.
63.7% of the people questioned would like to see more frequent men’s World Cups and 52.4% would like to watch the women’s World Cups.
Fans between 25 and 34 years are the most favorable to the project, while people aged 55 and over are on the opposite side.
The continent with the highest approval is Africa, where 76% of men and 61% of women support. In contrast, Europe has the greatest rejection – 21% men and 25% women.
FIFA has great support from India and Turkey, both in the men’s and women’s Cup, but it still has a strong disapproval from England, Germany and France, respectively the countries with the highest rejections of the increase in the frequency of the World Cups.
