The Barcelona SC board led by Antonio Álvarez Henriques are looking to put together a competitive squad for this year to compete in the Pro League, the Copa Libertadores and, if confirmed, the Copa Ecuador.
For that, the Canaries need a comprehensive squad and so far there are already 7 reinforcements confirmed for this season, along with Janner Coroz’s contract extension.
“Let’s hope that 5 more reinforcements will arrive,” says Antonio Alvarez, president of Barcelona SC
However, for Esteban Dreer, the former goalkeeper of Emelec and the Ecuadorian team, these additions do not meet the expectations that the club president himself created a few weeks ago.

He Riflein the program Mark 90he threw out a snarky comment against the bullfighting reinforcements, claiming that it would simply help them compete in the local tournament, but would not play much of a role at the international level.
“They said that a competitive team will be formed, I think they are supporting players. Chargers, reinforcements to fight at the local level,” criticized the retired footballer.

There is still time for the transfer market to close and the Ecuador championship to begin, so Barcelona will use that time to formalize more contracts for 2024. Even the president himself said after the victory against Sporting Cristal that they will arrive at least “5 more reinforcements.” (D)
