Details of an attack on a KHL club coach have emerged

According to the source, the attacker turned out to be a 17-year-old resident of Nizhnekamsk. The young man said that, while walking along a narrow street, he accidentally touched an unknown man walking towards him, after which a verbal conflict ensued between them. As a result, the man hit the coach in the face and ran away.

The incident occurred on the morning of January 20. An unknown young man, passing by, pushed Leontyev and then hit him on the head. The coach received two stitches. He filed a statement with the police.

Leontyev has been coaching Neftekhimik since 2021. In the current season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), the club scored 53 points based on the results of 54 matches. Neftekhimik will play its next game at home on January 21 against Admiral.
