The first racket of the world Shwiatek lost to Noskova and was eliminated from the Australian Open

World number one Polish Iga Szwiatek lost to Czech Linda Noskova in the third round match of the 2024 Australian Open. The results are available on the tournament website.

The meeting ended with a score of 3:6, 6:3, 6:4 in favor of the 19-year-old Czech tennis player. Thus, the Polish athlete was eliminated from the tournament. In the 1/8 finals of the Australian Open, Noskova will meet the winner of the match between Ukrainian Elina Svitolina and Swiss Victoria Golubich.

On December 21, Schwiatek was named the highest paid athlete in 2023. The world number one earned $23.9 million before taxes and agency fees. Of these, 9.9 million were prize money for performances at tournaments, and another 14 million came from sponsorship contracts for the Polish athlete.

The Australian Open will end on January 28. Last year the tournament was won by Belarusian Arina Sabalenka.
