Champion of the League of Nations, Frenchman Theo Hernández tests positive for covid-19 and loses Milan

This Wednesday, the Milan reported that Theo Hernández tested positive for covid-19. The club stated that the left-back is doing well and is fulfilling social isolation.

“Milan confirms that Theo Hernández tested positive for Covid-19. He returned from a spell with the France national team and auditioned at his home. Milan’s health authorities have already been informed. Theo is doing well and fulfilling isolation”, published the club’s profile in Portuguese on Twitter.

To replace the French athlete, who was champion of the league of nations last Sunday, coach Stefano Pioli has Fodé Ballo-Touré. The 24-year-old Senegalese took the field four times for the team.

Since 2019 at Milan, Hernández has played nine matches for the team this season. He scored a goal and gave three assists.

Deputy leader of the Italian Championship, Milan returns to the field on Saturday, at 15:45 (GMT), when they host Verona at the San Siro Stadium.
