Russian Krugovoi explained his move from Zenit to CSKA by his desire to play football
Russian defender Danil Krugovoy in his Telegram channel explained why he decided to move from Zenit St. Petersburg to CSKA Moscow.
The footballer noted that negotiations on a new contract with the blue-white-blue team lasted 18 months. “It’s not about the personal terms of the contract. The offer that came from Zenit suited me completely. These are the best conditions and I am grateful to the club for this offer. But I chose to play football,” Krugovoy explained his desire.
The defender also thanked the management of the St. Petersburg team and the coaching staff for their joint work and noted that before moving to CSKA he will play for Zenit-2. “Ready to work and attack,” added Krugovoi.
The transfer became known on January 17. CSKA’s agreement with the 25-year-old football player will be activated on June 4, 2024 and will run until the end of the 2027/2028 season.
