The champion snowboarder from Russia announced his reluctance to compete in a neutral status

Snowboarder Dmitry Loginov said that he does not want to compete in a neutral status

Three-time snowboarding world champion Dmitry Loginov assessed the prospect of competing in neutral status. The Russian’s words are quoted by TASS.

The athlete noted that he had a negative attitude towards this. “I would like to fully return to international competitions with the anthem and flag. Of course, we miss international competitions at the highest level, but at the moment I don’t want to compete in a neutral status,” said Loginov.

23-year-old Loginov is also a bronze medalist at the World Championships. The athlete competed at the Olympic Games twice, but was left without medals.

Previously, the IOC allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the Olympics in Paris. They will be able to take part in the tournament as individual neutral athletes. At the same time, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, or who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus will not be allowed to participate in the Games. Representatives of team sports will also miss the tournament.
