Olympic champion Roman Kostomarov showed how he flies on a flyboard over water
Olympic figure skating champion Roman Kostomarov has mastered the flyboard. He spoke about this in his Telegram channel.
The former figure skater showed a video of himself doing extreme sports. He was flying on a flyboard over the water. “I’m trying to regain my old skills. I’m flying… Although not high,” Kostomarov signed the video.
On December 21, Kostomarov was named Russian Athlete of the Year 2023. Eight percent of citizens surveyed by VTsIOM gave him this title.
In January 2022, Kostomarov was hospitalized with pneumonia and influenza B. Due to prolonged connection to a blood oxygenation machine and a ventilator, his tissue began to die. Doctors amputated both feet of the skater, then the shins of both legs, the entire hand of his right hand and several fingers of his left. Later, he was fitted with prosthetic legs and right arm. After this, Kostomarov continued to actively engage in sports.
