Physiotherapist Megan Wieser appreciates the benefits of micro-training. Her words are quoted by Fortune.

The specialist said that even short periods of activity have a positive effect on health. “You already have habits, like your morning coffee break. So, while you’re waiting for your coffee to brew, get some exercise in, she said.

Wieser’s words are also supported by research. A team of scientists from Ontario, USA, studied whether 20 seconds of vigorous stair climbing three times a day, performed three days a week, could improve cardiorespiratory fitness. After six weeks, it was found to have increased by about five percent.

Earlier, endocrinologist Zukhra Pavlova named the best exercises to improve mood. She suggested walking and yoga.
