Solomin said that a similar version of the exercise on one leg helps pump up the abs, stabilizes the core and leg muscles. For additional resistance, he suggested holding a dumbbell in each hand or placing a barbell on your back.
To perform Bulgarian squats, you need to stand with your back to a hill and place one foot on it. Next, you need to smoothly squat until the thigh of the leading leg becomes parallel to the floor. At the bottom point, it is recommended to take a short pause for 1-2 seconds, and then return to the starting position.
On December 3, 2023, Men Today journalists named the benefits of regular squats. In their opinion, the exercises help to work out several muscle groups at once: quadriceps, hamstrings, buttocks, calves, abdomen and lower back. In addition, exercise allows you to burn calories more actively and improves joint function.
