25% of players in the English Football League (EFL), an organization that comprises the second to fourth divisions of English football, have no intention of getting vaccinated.

The league activated this Thursday the red code of the protocols against the covid due to the increase in cases in the teams that has led to the suspension of several games. These new measures imply the use of masks indoors, respect for social distance, daily tests and other types of travel restrictions. This affects a total of 72 teams in these three divisions..

In addition, the EFL has clarified that the matches can go ahead as long as the teams have 14 available players from the first squad, including at least one goalkeeper.

Regarding the vaccination data released by the organization, one in four players does not intend to receive any dose, while 59% have both doses and 16% only one. (D)
