Dominik Hasek called the NHL’s admission of Russian hockey players to matches a complete failure
Olympic champion, two-time Stanley Cup winner Dominik Hasek on the social network X again criticized the National Hockey League (NHL) for its position on the Russians.
Hasek called the league’s admission of Russian hockey players to matches a complete failure and considered it an advertisement for a special operation. “The NHL is responsible for this and must pay,” he emphasized.
On January 9, Hasek addressed Russian hockey players and officials. The former athlete said that no athlete from Russia can participate in international tournaments due to the events in Ukraine.
Since February 2022, Hasek has been actively promoting initiatives against Russian athletes. He called on league leaders to resign over their stance on Russia. He refused to consider the NHL All-Star Game a holiday and called the presence of Russian hockey players at the event disgusting advertising.
