Euskaraz irakurri: Erkiaga eta Ibarluzea finalerdietara sailkatu dira, Laduche eta Gorka menderatuta
Aritz Erkiaga and Ion Ibarluzea have qualified this Monday for the semifinals of the Eusko Label Winter Series, in the match corresponding to the 10th day played at the Jai Alai fronton in Gernika. After winning the first set against Ludovic Laduche and Gorka Sorozabal They have ensured their presence in the next phase of the championship, but they have also won the match (15-14, 9-15 and 5-3).
Laduche and Gorka needed to win the match 2-0 to continue with their hopes of reaching the semifinals. For Erkiaga and Ibarluzea, on the other hand, it was enough to win a set to secure their place in the next round.
Thus, the greens’ strategy has been to look for Ibarluzea at the fronton to prevent Erkiaga from entering the game. Although the first goals were theirs, it was difficult for them to adapt and the Erkiaga-Ibarluzea duo took the script of the set (6-4).
But little by little, Laduche and Gorka have been imposing themselves and have managed to get ahead on the scoreboard (6-8). When Erkiaga began to enter the game, they began to equalize their forces and, despite tying several times, Erkiaga and Ibarluzea have won the game and secured a place in the semifinals (15-14).
The second set was calmer, with the pink couple doing work and Laduche and Gorka without any option. However, both couples came out to win the match to achieve the best possible result in the classification. At the beginning the two couples were tough, but the last goals were from the greens and they took the match to the third and final set (9-15).
In the last set Erkiaga and Ibarluzea had no rival (5-3), and they have gone to the semifinals, achieving first place in group B. For their part, Laduche and Gorka will play their last match against Arbe and Manci, but nothing will be at stake in that match.
