Krasnodar has formalized the transfer of 23-year-old midfielder Kevin Castagno
The leader of the Russian Premier League (RPL) Krasnodar announced the signing of Colombian national team player Kevin Castaño. The official website of the club reports this.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder will join Krasnodar at the winter training camp in Dubai, where he will undergo a medical examination and sign a contract. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the Colombian’s value at four million euros.
Castaño moved to the Russian club from the Mexican Cruz Azul. For six months in this team, he played 15 matches, in which he gave one assist. The midfielder has seven caps for the Colombian national team.
Earlier it became known that Krasnodar was going to offer a new contract to the club’s head coach Vladimir Ivich. The current agreement with the 46-year-old Serb runs until the end of 2024, but the club is satisfied with his work and wants to keep the specialist for a longer period. Under the leadership of Ivich, Krasnodar went into the winter break in the Russian Championship in first place. Based on the results of 18 rounds, the southerners scored 38 points and are two points ahead of Zenit.
