Usman Nurmagomedova remains Bellator champion despite failed doping test
Russian mixed-style fighter (MMA) Usman Nurmagomedov remained the Bellator champion despite a failed doping test. This was announced by his manager Rizvan Magomedov, whose words are reported by TASS.
“As for his next fight, it will be clear closer to the end of the disqualification, there is no clarity yet,” Magomedov added.
On November 11, it became known that the California State Athletic Commission had disqualified Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin for violating anti-doping rules. The suspension period was six months. The title fight with American Brent Primus was declared invalid.
In total, 25-year-old Usman Nurmagomedov won 17 victories in his professional career without suffering a single defeat. He currently holds the Bellator lightweight championship.
