The Russian champion named the main chushpan of Russian football

Radimov called Spartak striker Sobolev the main champion of football in Russia

Russian champion and former Zenit St. Petersburg midfielder Vladislav Radimov named the main chushpan of Russian football. His words are quoted by RT.

The former athlete chose Spartak Moscow striker Alexander Sobolev. “This is a New Year’s quiz, right? I have many friends from the Spartak camp. I’m sure everyone will react with humor,” Radimov said.

On May 21, 2023, during a match between Spartak and CSKA, Sobolev was sent off for an indecent gesture. The football player put two hands to his groin, expressing dissatisfaction with the actions of his opponent. The athlete was suspended for four matches for the incident.

Sobolev has been playing for Spartak since 2020. Together with the team, he became the winner of the Russian Cup and the silver medalist of the Russian Championship.

The word “chushpan” gained popularity in connection with the release of the series “The Boy’s Word: Blood on the Asphalt.” It came into the Russian lexicon from the Siberian forced labor camp, where it was used in relation to newly arrived prisoners. In the series, “chushpans” are all young people who are not members of any street gang – that is, they are not “boys.”
