Fitness trainer Marina Shlyakhtina proposed a plan for returning to exercise after a break. Her words are quoted by Live Media.
The expert said that at first it is necessary to carry out lighter workouts than before the break. This period is two weeks for strength training and four weeks for cardio training. After this, you can return to full-time classes. Shlyakhtina also advised not to try new exercises after a long pause.
“How quickly fitness is lost depends on many factors. The main one is the level of training: the higher it is, the more time passes before a noticeable loss of shape,” the specialist noted.
Earlier, fitness trainer Anna Fedorova named exercises that are contraindicated after the New Year’s feast. She said that you should not do intense workouts, which can negatively affect your digestion and overall well-being.
