MMA fighter Ian: a fight with McGregor will happen if there are people ready to arrange it
Russian mixed style (MMA) fighter Petr Yan, in an interview with the YouTube channel RCC Talks, named the condition for organizing a fight with the Irishman Conor McGregor.
“My understanding is this: a fight can happen if there are people ready to arrange it. That’s all,” said the athlete. He added that McGregor is unlikely to change weight category, but he himself would not mind doing so. At the same time, Yang emphasized that he has a valid contract with the UFC, the terms of which he does not want to violate.
On December 11, McGregor spoke about Yan. The athlete called Peter a phenomenal fighter from Russia and expressed a desire to fight with him.
Yang is a former UFC bantamweight champion. In total, the 30-year-old athlete won 17 victories with five defeats in fights under MMA rules.
McGregor is a former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion. The Irishman had his last fight in July 2021 against American Dustin Poirier, when he suffered a broken leg, from which he is still recovering. In total, he has 22 wins and six losses.
