Russian figure skater Elizaveta Tuktamysheva spoke about the largest purchase from the prize money. Her words are quoted by Sports.ru.
Tuktamysheva shared that her biggest purchase was an apartment in St. Petersburg. “Real estate prices are so high now that you still had to save up; you can’t buy it impulsively. It wasn’t that I liked the apartment and I saved for it; on the contrary, I saved money, thought about where to invest it, and decided on an apartment,” she noted.
The skater also told what she spent her first prize money on. “It was the 2011/2012 season. I just reached adulthood and started winning Grand Prix. The prize money from the first stage arrived, I bought the newest MacBook Air,” she said.
On October 22, Tuktamysheva announced her decision to take a break from her sports career. The figure skater will miss the 2023/2024 season. She explained that she wants to spend more time with loved ones, develop, get enough sleep, relax and work on personal projects.
Tuktamysheva is the 2015 world and European champion. At the second world championship in her career, where the athlete went in 2021, she became a silver medalist. She also has medals of all the merits of the planet’s team championships.
