Plushenko said that he expels inappropriate parents immediately along with their children
Two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko spoke about how he finds a common language with parents of child skaters. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Plushenko said that sometimes there are inadequate parents of students. “I immediately kick them out along with the children. The atmosphere in the group should be positive,” he said.
The figure skater is engaged in coaching at his own academy, Plushenko’s Angels. The 2024 Russian Championship silver medalist Sofya Muravyova, as well as juniors Veronika Zhilina and Sofia Titova, are training under his leadership.
Plushenko won Olympic gold twice: in 2006 he became the best in the individual tournament, in 2014 – in the team tournament. He also has three victories at the World Championships and seven first places at the European Championships.
