Boxer Dmitry Bivol defeated Artur and defended his WBA world title
Russian boxer Dmitry Bivol defended his World Boxing Association (WBA) light heavyweight title. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The athlete defeated Briton Lyndon Arthur by unanimous decision. The fight lasted all 12 rounds and took place as part of a boxing evening in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia). In addition, Bivol became the world champion according to the International Boxing Organization (IBO).
In November, Bivol thanked Arthur’s team for accepting the fight. Then he called the Briton the best opponent for him in the light heavyweight division.
In his professional career, 32-year-old Bivol won 22 victories and did not suffer a single defeat. 32-year-old Arthur has 23 wins and two losses.
