Borussia players will be fined 1,000 euros for 100 grams of excess weight
The German football club Borussia introduced a fine for excess weight. This was reported by RMC Sport with reference to the Belgian TV channel RTBF.
Belgian Thomas Meunier said that players will be fined 1,000 euros per 100 grams of excess weight above a certain level. “We were weighed at the last training session, and we will also go through the weigh-in procedure after the break,” he said.
Borussia ranks fifth in the German championship table with 27 points. The team will play its first match in 2024 on January 13 away against Darmstadt.
Earlier, Krylia Sovetov head coach Evgeny Osinkin admitted that he eats stress. “I’m sure that I would have the opportunity to lose weight, but this would require a long break from work. I don’t want to do it,” he said.
