Ural took eighth place in the world in terms of average height of football players
Ekaterinburg Ural is in the top 10 clubs in the world based on the average height of its players. This was reported on the website of the International Center for Sports Research CIES Football Observatory.
The Russian Premier League (RPL) club took eighth place in the ranking, the average height of its players is 186.3 centimeters. The tallest was the Hungarian Hecskemet (187.13 centimeters). In second place is the German Hoffenheim (186.92 centimeters), and the top three is closed by another club from Germany – Schalke (186.83 centimeters).
The shortest team was recognized as the Japanese Sagan Tosu (174.18 centimeters). CIES Football Observatory analyzed the compositions of teams from 55 leagues around the world.
Ural has scored 19 points in 18 rounds of the Russian Championship this season. The team is in 12th place in the RPL.
