Tatyana Navka said that her relatives were intimidated by the Ukrainian special services
Olympic ice dancing champion Tatyana Navka said that her relatives were intimidated by the Ukrainian special services. Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
“All these services even came to them, asked all sorts of questions, conducted interrogations, and somehow scared them,” said the former athlete. She added that after the start of the special military operation, some of her friends from Ukraine did not talk to her for a long time, but then communication resumed.
Navka was born in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine in 1975. After the collapse of the USSR, she competed for Belarus, and since 1998 – for Russia. The ex-skater is married to the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
Navka won gold at the 2006 Olympic Games in ice dancing together with Roman Kostomarov. She is also a two-time world champion and three-time European champion. In recent years, the figure skater has been staging and participating in her own ice shows.
