Promoter Khryunov spoke about Alexander Emelianenko’s work as a volunteer
Promoter Alexander Khryunov said that Russian mixed style fighter (MMA) Alexander Emelianenko works as a volunteer in Ingushetia. His words are quoted by Match TV.
“He entered a period of volunteering, benefiting the institution where he was located. Let’s see what his psychological state is,” Khryunov said.
According to the promoter, on January 1, Emelianenko will begin preparing for the next fight, which is expected to take place at the end of February. “I think the efforts we spent with the Russian Boxing Federation, the Ingushetia Boxing Federation, and the rehabilitation center were not wasted. He will return to the fighting space,” Khryunov emphasized.
On December 14, Nikita Burchak, Emelianenko’s manager, announced the completion of the athlete’s rehabilitation. “His rehabilitation is over, but Alexander still continues to be in the center in Ingushetia and is undergoing training there. He will return to Moscow only at the beginning of next year,” he noted.
41-year-old Emelianenko has 40 MMA fights, in which he won 29 victories and suffered 10 defeats. Another fight with his participation ended in a draw.
