President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner revealed the secret of raising a child as a sports star. Sport24 reports this.
According to the specialist, the child has all the necessary qualities to become a champion in a particular sport. “Only a child must find himself, understand that this is his sport. He also needs to get to the right coach. Only a tandem of a talented child and a talented professional coach who loves children will lead to high results,” noted Wiener.
In July, Wiener spoke about the attention she pays to the personal lives of her students. “I don’t just control the personal life of my students, I participate in it. I am the third. I am a mother to my children. What about real parents? They are at home. Girls bring suitors to me, I look at them – whether I approve or disapprove,” the specialist admitted.
Wiener has been the head coach of the Russian rhythmic gymnastics team since 2001. Under her leadership, Russian women won 10 Olympic gold medals.
