Expert Eduard Kanevsky debunked three stereotypes about fitness. His words are quoted by Moscow 24.
Kanevsky stated that there are no exercises for local fat burning. “The process of burning fat is a global process, including the presence of a properly selected diet, regular aerobic training, as well as strength exercises for high-quality muscle development,” he explained.
The specialist also dispelled the myth that women should not lift weights. He emphasized that these exercises are important for people of both sexes. “The goal of such classes is to create a muscle corset, which allows you to maintain not only good performance, but also prevents problems with joints and the spine,” Kanevsky said.
The expert urged not to go on detox diets. He stated that this could only harm the body. “If you eat a balanced diet, choosing the right foods and portion sizes, then there is no need to change anything in your diet,” the expert recalled.
Earlier, fitness expert Irina Rotach listed exercises that will help you unwind after a hard day. She advised doing planks, side bends and crunches with your feet touching.
