Ecuadorian winger Joao Rojas, who plays for Mexico’s Monterrey, is on vacation in Ecuador, where he is waiting for his future with the Aztec club to be decided.

During the past few days, upon his arrival in Guayaquil, the football player did not hide his discomfort due to the fact that he does not have regularity in the current squad, so he did not close the possibility of a transfer.

Rojas, who has emphasized in some interviews that he is a fan of Emelec, the team he was a figure in, was asked if at some point, if given the option, he would go to Barcelona SC, a staunch electric rival.

“A fan will always want his player and his club to do well, they won’t understand the formula, the only thing they care about is that the club does well, but a footballer can’t be like that.” He said.

“I can’t just be carried away by feelings, because my first goal is the work part, the profession, I will decide according to the benefits I will have, I will not take it based on feelings,” he added in a conversation with Show D’Cache-T.

In this regard, the winger was clear in saying that if he was presented with a project that he felt was in line with what he was looking for, he would be open to the possibility of joining the Canary Islands.

“If I come today and have the option to go to Barcelona SC or Emelec, I love Emelec, but if the president comes and presents you with a project that is a disaster, I will go to Barcelona SC. The fan must understand that the problem is not the player, the problem is the manager,” he concluded. (D)
