The Russia 25 team defeated the national team of Belarus in the Channel One Cup match. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The meeting took place in St. Petersburg at the Ice Palace stadium and ended with a score of 5:3 in favor of the Russians. Among the winners, Nikita Grebenkin, Vasily Glotov, Alexander Nikishin, Sergei Tolchinsky and Ilya Safonov scored goals. Stepan Falkovsky, Roman Gorbunov and Vadim Moroz scored for the Belarusians.
At the start of the tournament, “Russia 25” beat the “Stars and VHL” team. The meeting ended with a score of 5:2.
On December 17, Russia 25 will play the final match at the Channel One Cup. The Russians’ opponent will be the Kazakhstan national team. The meeting will begin at 15:00 Moscow time.
The International Ice Hockey Federation suspended the national teams of Russia and Belarus from participating in competitions under its auspices in February 2022.
