Tarasova advised Ovechkin to train to break his goalless streak
Honored figure skating coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova spoke about the record goalless streak in the National Hockey League (NHL) of Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin. Her words are quoted by Metaratings.
The specialist noted that her father, hockey coach Anatoly Tarasov, could help the player. “But I would advise him to train and be patient a little. He is an outstanding athlete, a world star, and will soon break his unsuccessful streak,” Tarasova said.
On October 15, Ovechkin failed to score in the 11th consecutive game and updated his personal anti-record for games without goals.
Ovechkin has been playing in the NHL since 2005, and throughout his overseas career he has played for Washington. Together with the team, the Russian won the Stanley Cup in 2018.
