Tretyak said that neutral athletes will be financially supported by the federation
The head of the Russian Hockey Federation (RHF), Vladislav Tretyak, spoke about sources of funding for athletes who will compete in a neutral status at international competitions. RIA Novosti reports this.
“Both the federations will support and the sponsors will support. There are sponsors. All federations have sponsors; today it is impossible without sponsors,” Tretyak said.
On December 15, the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) spoke about financial support for athletes wishing to compete at the Olympics in Paris with a neutral status. “Among the athletes who will receive payments, there will be no athletes who accepted “neutralization.” ROC will not support athletes with a neutral status,” said the head of the organization, Stanislav Pozdnyakov.
On December 8, the International Olympic Committee allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the Olympics in Paris. Athletes will be able to take part in the tournament only in a neutral status. At the same time, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine and have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus will not get to Paris.
