Chechen bare-knuckle fighter Shakhgiriev thanked coach Andreeva
Chechen fighter of the TOP DOG fist fighting promotion Sulambek Shakhgiriev spoke about his cooperation with coach Svetlana Andreeva. He spoke out in an interview with Lenta.ru.
The athlete noted the regalia of his mentor, as well as her good understanding of the intricacies of the sport. “I ended up meeting her by accident. Friends said: go and try it, – I came, I was untrained after four months of inactivity. After training with Svetlana Mikhailovna, I won the first fight, the second, the third, the fourth. She is my mentor, let’s say, a mom-coach. I am very grateful to her,” said Shakhgiriev.
Andreeva is a European women’s boxing champion. She is also a world champion in kickboxing and a bronze medalist at the European boxing championship.
27-year-old Shakhgiriev has been performing in TOP DOG since December 2021. As part of the promotion, he had eight fights, in which he scored six victories and suffered two defeats.
