Manchester United set an anti-record for points scored in the Champions League
Manchester United failed to reach the playoffs of the 2023/2024 Champions League and set an anti-record. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The Mancunians finished fourth in Quartet A. The team collected four points from six matches, winning once and drawing once. This is the team’s worst result in history.
In addition, Manchester United set an anti-record among English clubs for the number of goals conceded in the group stage of the Champions League. Bayern, Copenhagen and Galatasaray scored a total of 15 goals for the team.
In the standings of Group A, the German Bayern took first place with 16 points. Danish Copenhagen are in second place with eight points. Turkish Galatasaray finished third in the table with five points and also found themselves out of the playoffs.
