Arsenal, Real Sociedad and six other clubs reach the knockout stages of the Champions League
The first eight participants in the Champions League playoffs for the 2022/2023 season have been determined. This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
From Group A, Bayern Munich and Danish Copenhagen made it to the spring stage of the tournament. The first two places in Group B were taken by London’s Arsenal and the Dutch PSV. Also in the playoffs were Real Madrid and Italian Napoli (Group C), Spanish Real Sociedad and Italian Inter (Group D).
Russian football clubs do not take part in European Cup competitions in the 2023/2024 season. Domestic teams are suspended from the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League by decision of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
The rest of the playoff participants will also be determined on December 13. The final of the tournament will take place on June 1, 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London.
