Russian forward and captain of the Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin extended his goalless streak in the National Hockey League (NHL). This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.

In the regular season match against the Chicago Blackhawks (4:2), the forward scored an assist, but did not score a goal. Ovechkin failed to score for the tenth straight game. Thus, he repeated his personal anti-record for matches without goals. The last time the Russian was able to hit the opponent’s goal was on November 19 in a meeting with the Columbus Blue Jackets (4:3).
