Fitness expert Natalya Gorbunova explained when strength training is contraindicated. Her words are quoted by Sport Express.
Gorbunova stated that this type of activity is not suitable for those who have cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, gastrointestinal diseases, pathologies of the musculoskeletal system, arthrosis, arthritis and cancer. She also advised against strength training in the postoperative period, after injury or recent viral diseases.
In addition, the specialist recalled that strength training is prohibited for pregnant women at any stage. Gorbunova advised contacting doctors and trainers to formulate a training regimen.
