“Rostov” and “Akhmat” played a draw in the match of the 18th round of the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported by a Lenta.ru correspondent.
The meeting took place in Grozny and ended with the score 0:0. The match was officiated by a team of referees led by Jan Bobrovsky. In the fourth minute added to the second half, Rostov defender Andrei Langovich received a red card.
Rostov head coach Valery Karpin missed the game. Earlier, the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union decided to disqualify the specialist for two matches, one of which was suspended. The reason was the coach’s critical statements about holding the 17th round match against CSKA (0:2) in heavy snow.
Rostov scored 21 points and is in tenth place in the standings. Akhmat has 17 points and ranks 13th.
The 18th round of the RPL will be the last before the winter break. The tournament will resume in March.
