Masalitin: foreign and Russian Spartak players are unhappy with coach Abascal
Former Spartak player Valery Masalitin appreciated the work of the red-and-white head coach Guillermo Abascal. His words are quoted by Gazeta.Ru.
According to Masalitin, the Spanish specialist does not have enough experience, and he is under enormous pressure. “There is dissatisfaction among the players. Let’s say the same foreigners who joined the team but ended up on the bench. There is dissatisfaction among Russian players who also play little and want to play more,” he said, noting that Abascal cannot influence this.
On December 9, Spartak defeated Krylya Sovetov Samara in a match of the Russian Premier League (RPL). The meeting ended with a score of 3:0 in favor of the hosts.
After 18 games, Spartak is in fifth place in the RPL standings. The Moscow team has 30 points.
