Tennis player Andrei Rublev posted a photo with football player Pogba suspended for doping
Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev posted on Instagram (the social network is banned in the Russian Federation; it belongs to the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned) a joint photo with the French Juventus football player Paul Pogba, suspended for doping.
The athletes were photographed together in a gym in Dubai (UAE). Rublev accompanied the photo with the emoji “soccer ball”, “tennis racket” and “black heart”.
Pogba’s failed doping test became known in September. It was reported that testosterone metabolites were detected in a sample taken from a 30-year-old Frenchman on August 20 after a match in the first round of the Italian Championship. In December, the anti-doping prosecutor’s office demanded that the player be disqualified for four years.
Pogba returned to Juventus from Manchester United in July 2022. He signed a contract with the team for which he played from 2012 to 2016 as a free agent. Together with Juventus, the Frenchman became the champion of Italy four times, won the Cup twice and the country’s Super Cup three times. The midfielder also became the 2018 world champion as part of the French national team.
