Konstantin Tyukavin named best young footballer of the year in the RPL
Dynamo Moscow forward Konstantin Tyukavin won the “First Five” award, which is awarded to the best young football player of the year in the Russian Premier League (RPL). This was reported on the website of the Children’s Football League (DFL).
The winner was determined based on the results of voting by specialists from among the heads of football departments, representatives of the coaching staff of Russian national teams, representatives of the management staff and coaching staff of RPL teams, football veterans and journalists from leading media. 60 out of 100 voting participants named Tyukavin the best.
Krasnodar midfielder Nikita Krivtsov took second place in the voting, while Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Artem Karpukas took third place. Players no older than 21 competed for the prize.
Tyukavin is a Dynamo graduate; he made his debut with the Muscovites in 2020. This season, Tyukavin is the team’s top scorer in the RPL with eight goals.
