Deputy Rodnina called the call of the Ukrainian Maguchi to remove the Russians a kindergarten
Three-time Olympic champion in figure skating, State Duma deputy Irina Rodnina ridiculed the statement of Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Maguchikh regarding Russian athletes. Her words are quoted by Sport Express.
“I don’t want to comment on any kindergarten. We have been talking about athletes from Ukraine for a long time,” Rodnina said. She added that she had not heard about Maguchi’s achievements.
Earlier on December 5, Maguchikh called on everyone to support the ban on Russians and Belarusians from participating in international tournaments. She called the athletes strong and unshakable people, drawing attention to the fact that Ukrainians enter competitions with sorrow.
Maguchikh is the world and European champion in high jump. She won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
