The team beat San Antonio (a branch of the Catholic University of Quito) 2-1 in a back-and-forth game.
Only six minutes of the match were played, and the lions took the lead through Jostyn Montes.
The opposing team had to wait for the second half to reach 1-1, which they achieved through Luis Cong (55m).
It looked like the game would end in a draw, but with five minutes left, John Valencia made it 2-1.
In 2024, both teams will play in the Pro Serie B League. (D)
