Yulia Efimova said that on the embankment in the USA she felt like she was in Moscow

Russian swimmer Yulia Efimova spoke about life in the USA. Her words are quoted by TASS.

“Now everyone there is Russian and Ukrainian, when you walk along the embankment, you feel like you’re in Moscow. There was a certain tension, so I wanted to go back to relax – at least here they don’t ask me where my accent comes from and what I think. It’s easier here in this regard,” the athlete shared, adding that sometimes it was difficult when she was asked to speak out about the situation in the world.

Earlier, Efimova said that she missed Russian hospitality in the United States. “Well, the food, I miss it too,” the swimmer noted.

The 31-year-old Russian woman is a six-time world champion. She also has a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and two silver medals at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. Efimova also competed at the 2008 and 2020 Games, but then she was left without medals.
