This Monday, Cádiz and Granada entered the field for the 17th round of the Spanish Championship. In an important clash in the fight against the relegation zone, Cádiz was ahead of the scoreboard the entire second time, but suffered a draw in the final minutes.
The home team’s goal was scored 32 minutes into the first stage, by Arzamendia. The Paraguayan striker kicked into the goal and had a deflection on the defense to open the scoring at Nuevo Mirandilla.
The victory seemed underway until 45 minutes into the final stage, when Jorge Molina tied the score and gave an important point to Granada.
With the result, Cádiz reaches 13 points and remains in the relegation zone, occupying the 18th position. However, the team follows closely the first two teams out of the Z3, both with 15 points, making up the fight against the fall.
Who did well was Granada, who would draw on points with Cádiz and the other teams that fight against takedown if not for the goal in the final minutes. With the tie, the team has 16 points and occupies the 15th place, also having a late game to distance itself from the sticking zone.
Cádiz will return to the field next Thursday, at 5 pm (GMT), to face Albacete, for the Copa del Rey. For the same tournament and on the same day and time, Granada will face Mancha Real.
