Rostov footballer Maxim Rudakov announced the bankruptcy of the Finnish club Honka
Russian goalkeeper of “Rostov” Maxim Rudakov, who played for “Honka” on loan for the last two seasons, spoke about the bankruptcy of the Finnish club. His words are quoted by “Championship”.
The footballer said that the club owed him two months’ salary. In addition, he was not paid bonuses for qualifying for European competition in the 2022/2023 season. “The football players’ union promised to help us. We are now preparing the documents. I think some percentage will be returned to us. True, it’s not clear when,” Rudakov added.
In February 2023, Rudakov compared salaries in the Finnish Championship and the Russian Premier League. According to him, in the best Finnish team HJK, players can earn up to 10-12 thousand euros per month. The footballer also said that after leaving Rostov for Honka, he lost money.
The goalkeeper is a graduate of Zenit St. Petersburg. He has been playing for Honka since January 2022. Last season the team took fifth place in the Finnish Championship. Rudakov played 36 matches for the team in all tournaments.
