The First League football club Akron fired head coach Evgeniy Kaleshin. This was reported in the team’s Telegram channel.

The club stated that they decided to terminate the employment relationship with the specialist due to disagreements in the development path. Akron wished Kaleshin success in his future career. It is noted that changes in the coaching staff and the appointment of a new head coach will be announced additionally.

Kaleshin has headed Akron since September 2022. This season, after 20 matches, the team ranks third in the First League standings, gaining 35 points. Akron is two points behind the leading Makhachkala.

Last season, the Togliatti team reached the final of the Russian Cup Path of Regions, defeating the Russian Premier League clubs Lokomotiv, Dynamo and Spartak. In the match for reaching the super final, Akron lost to Krasnodar.
