Police will check McGregor on suspicion of inciting ethnic hatred

Irish police will conduct an investigation into mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Conor McGregor on suspicion of inciting ethnic hatred. Yahoo reports this.

Law enforcement officers were interested in McGregor’s posts on the social network X, dedicated to the riots in Dublin. The athlete wrote that he did not approve of what was happening and called for changes in the country, criticizing the activities of the Irish government.

“If they don’t come up with a plan to keep Ireland safe soon, I will,” McGregor said, emphasizing that the country needs rapid changes in immigration policy.

On November 23, an attack on passersby occurred in Dublin, as a result of which five people were injured, including three children. After information appeared that the criminal was a native of Algeria, riots began in the city.

McGregor, 35, is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight and featherweight champion. In total, the Irishman had 28 fights, in which he won 22 victories and suffered 6 defeats.
