Former Anzhi employee Balashov said that Eto’o received 20 million a day
Former director of the Anzhi organizational department Dmitry Balashov spoke about the salary of Samuel Eto’o, who played for the Makhachkala club, that amazed him. Sport Express reports this.
According to the functionary, he was amazed when he learned about the Cameroonian’s daily earnings. “20 million rubles a day! Why I remember – we immediately took out calculators and started converting all this into hours, minutes,” Balashov noted.
On October 31, it became known that the English Premier League (EPL) was conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the transfer of Eto’o and Willian from Anzhi Makhachkala to Chelsea in London. It was clarified that when signing contracts with players in 2013, the British made some secret payments to Russian organizations not related to football.
Eto’o played for Anzhi from 2011 to 2013. In 53 matches of the Russian championship he scored 25 goals.
